Andie James is a Melbourne/Naarm-
based artist working primarily in painting. Motivated by an awareness of how ephemeral life can be, her figurative pieces are deeply diaristic, capturing a moment before it evaporates from the conscious mind.

Her paintings act as an altar to elevate the mundane, to highlight the beauty of plain objects obfuscated by the haziness of times past.
