No.17 Hilma Af Klint Square Frame

Hilma af Klint's No. 17 belongs to her Paintings for the Temple series — a monumental body of work she painted between 1906 and 1915 and left instructions for not to be shown until at least twenty years after her death. No. 17 is one of her most elegant compositions: a swirling, biomorphic form in muted blues and pinks that feels both cosmic and intimate. In a square frame it's completely striking.
