Discomedusae Jellyfish by Ernst Haeckel

Ernst Haeckel spent decades illustrating the natural world with a scientific precision and aesthetic sensibility that turned biology into something approaching art. His Discomedusae — the disc jellyfish — are among his most extraordinary subjects: radially symmetrical, iridescent, completely alien. This print is as beautiful as any abstract work in the collection, and carries the added weight of being genuinely true to life. For a bathroom, a living room or anyone fascinated by the deep ocean.
