If you’d prefer to buy an unframed print or use your own framer, be sure not to leave it rolled up for too long. To flatten your print, carefully remove it from the postal tube while keeping it wrapped in the protective acid-free tissue paper. Lay it image-side up on a clean, flat surface, still covered with the tissue. Place a few smooth, heavy objects (like books) on the corners and center, and let the print rest overnight — it should flatten naturally. Avoid rolling the print in the opposite direction to uncurl it, as this can cause creasing if not done carefully.
If you decide not to go with one of our frames, we recommend choosing an FSC-certified frame made from 100% acid-free materials. Lower-quality materials can degrade the print over time, and exposure to sunlight could cause fading.
