The Kiss by Pablo Picasso

Picasso painted The Kiss in 1969, four years before his death, in a frenzy of late productivity that art historians still argue about. It's raw, almost cartoonish — two faces merging in a way that's tender and slightly unsettling at the same time. The critics didn't know what to make of it; now it's considered one of the great late works. A piece that rewards living with rather than immediate judgement.
