Jakuchu was a Japanese painter from the Edo period. He was born in Kyoto to a family of painters. Jakuchu began painting at an early age and was self-taught. His style was unique and not influenced by any school or teacher. Jakuchu is known for his vibrant colours and detailed depictions of nature. He is considered one of Japan's greatest painters.
