Pierre Soulages Exhibition Poster

Pierre Soulages dedicated his entire career to one colour: black. Not as darkness or absence but as light — he discovered that black surfaces, depending on how they're textured and lit, reflect and absorb light in ways that produce an infinite range of visual experience. He called this outrenoir: beyond black. This exhibition poster captures the paradox at the heart of his work — a print that looks different in morning light than evening, and asks you to keep looking.
